The Southeastern Garden Show was held at Heritage Plantation on July 19th-21st
Mary Lane entered displays and won first place for her creative fastinator (the term comes from the way fascinators (hats) are attached to the head, that is, fastened by a ribbon or a clip) and Roni Lahage entered many beautiful plants in the horticulture section. Roni won first place for the gorgeous pink lily she grew!
It was exciting to see this show and we are all thrilled that Falmouth Garden Club did so well thanks to Mary Lane and Roni Lahage!
Thanks for the FGC love without Hila's encouragement I never would have entered. Always wanted to do a fascinator so must admit to putting most of my effort into that entry. Would be happy to share the process with anyone who is interested. My illuminated entry was 3rd and I totally agreed with the judges comments.
