BECOME A MEMBER

Welcome to the Falmouth Garden Club. We are very excited that you are interested in joining this dynamic group of women and men. We take great pride in our work in the community in this our 91st year.   Our club objectives are: to encourage the study of and interest in gardening and horticulture, to aid in the protection and conservation of our natural resources, and to assist in the beautification of Falmouth.

 

Prospective Members should take the following path to membership. 

   

 1)  Attend two open monthly meetings held the first Monday of the month at the Congregational  Church in Falmouth, there will be an opportunity for you to introduce yourself

(Note NO open meetings in January, June, July or December).

 2) Still interested fantastic                               Create a login/site member account by signing up with your email and pick a password. Your request will be approved usually within two days.

3) We hope your first year is a fun bonding experience.  You will be expected to :

 Fill out the Dues Payment Form - Pay the annual dues for Provisional Member at $65  - Sign up for at least two committees (descriptions in the about us tab on this site) - Select a month for Hospitality, 1st & 2nd choice - (This involves bringing food to a meeting.)  You will be assigned a mentor.

     a)   Attend two monthly meetings

         

     b)  Take one workshop. (These are are held through the year and would include making items which would be sold              as fundraisers such as the Holiday greens sale at the Historical Society.)

         

     c)  Complete one design project. (ex floral design workshop, petals & palettes or library flower arrangement)              

         

     d)  Complete one horticulture project (ex work at the cupola, herb or any garden we upkeep / assist with plant sale)

         

     e)  Participate in 3 club activities (1 required is helping with Holiday decorating or greens sale at the Wicks House                   other 2 are your choice)
