Community Service
Community service, an integral part of the club's mission, is enthusiastically provided by members. The desire to serve is a major motivation for joining Falmouth Garden Club. Here we show members laying flowers at the annual Veterans' Day celebration. The Club also maintains the Bus Station Window Boxes, the Cupola Garden in front of Mullen Hall Elementary School, decorates holiday trays for Meals on Wheels trays, and provides monthly programs for residents of JML.
College Scholarship The Falmouth Garden Club is offering scholarships to graduating high school seniors, and to students already attending college. Applicants must be Falmouth residents. Eligible students are those studying or planning to study ecology, environmental science, horticulture, landscape design or related fields.
Graduating seniors of the following schools are eligible: Falmouth High School, Upper Cape Cod Technical School, Falmouth Academy, Cape Cod Academy, Tabor Academy, Bishop Stang, Sacred Heart Academy and Home Schooled students. Falmouth residents who attend Cape Cod Community College are also encouraged to apply.
Application materials are available at the high schools and the main branch of the Falmouth Public Library.
Applications must be received by the Falmouth Garden Club at PO Box 487, Falmouth, MA 02451 no later than May 1, 2012.
